Get ready for the EXAMS!!
Hi Guys!
Here are, as I promise you, several links and materials for your EXAMS training.
First, watch the video on the READING COMPREHENSION post.
WRITING PRODUCTION
This is the most difficult skill to reach, as we have to remember all the linguistic features we have been learning. It takes several years and a lot of exercise to get familiar with this skill. But it doesn't mean we can't be able to write an accurate simple A2-level essay. Of course, we can!
First I remind you to see the link on the left bar of the blog's homepage 'How to write a letter' that gives you the structure of a letter writing and actually of an e-mail, even if this is more informal, too.
General writing prompts:
First, use properly the dictionary from English to Italian and viceversa.
e.g.
Remember to read all the explanations and find the APPROPRIATE collocation in the context!!
Avoid the AB use of that!
Use SIMPLE and SHORT sentences!!!
Remember 'English is an SVO language, so your sentences must start with a subject (WHO) and a verb (reflect on the right tense) followed by an object (WHAT), add WHERE, WHEN and WHY if necessary.
REVISION
Last, but not least: Read again your production and check if there are any mistakes
Here is a video from a colleague (prof.ssa Martini) about frequent mistakes:
watch it!!

My first LAPBOOK
High guys....
After the reading of your reader books in English, put all the information you have got about it into a LAPBOOK. Information should include the author, main characters, context, curiosities, a summary of the plot, and so on. And, of course, if you like it.
Here are some pictures as samples:

Ready, Steady, Cook!!
Hi guys!!
During your Easter Holiday, I'm asking you to do a challenge activity:
We work in class with food and a recipe...now it's up to you!
You are going to be a TV chef!
Choose your favorite recipe, you can cook. Then find the ingredients you need and make a video with your smartphone (and the help of an adult) to show how to make the recipe. Cut any cooking time. The video must last 5 minutes, maximum. You can work in pairs if you prefer.
Watch this video as a model:
https://youtu.be/xze8atBaVEY
Enjoy!
You can post your video HERE:
http://linoit.com/users/cristinaVR/canvases/1A
Or, if they are too large, take them to school on your USB pen drive.
See the attached Rubric of evaluation:
