CHRISTMAS HOMEWORK

Cari studenti,

Classe 1A
una delle cose più importanti all'inizio dell'apprendimento di una lingua, è aumentare il proprio lessico. Questo implica imparare continuamente parole nuove.
In particolare, per riuscire a formulare nuove frasi, la cosa più importante da sapere è il verbo. Esso esprime un'azione e ci permette di dire al nostro interlocutore cosa vogliamo o di cosa abbiamo bisogno.

Per questo motivo ho preparato per voi un'attività di ampliamento del lessico proprio sui verbi.

Per voi ci sono gli esercizi da 1 a 16 pp. 132-134 del vostro libro.
Ripassare i paradigmi dei verbi irregolari.
E alcuni esercizi sul vostro MyEnglishLab online.

Classe 3A
Come ripasso tutti gli es da 1 a 12 pag. 46-47 e 5, 6, 7 e 8 pp. 40-41 TUTTI sul quaderno; e copia grammar point 1 e 2 pag. 40 sulla sezione grammar.
Terminare gli esercizi su MyEngLab.
Poi scrivete la biografia di Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn e Mary Jackson, le tre scienziate donne afro-americane  che cambiarono la storia della NASA

Groupwork instructions: 

Divide into groups of 4/5 students and prepare/invent an original Family Tree with pictures taken from newspapers or draw the characters). Describe each person's writing name, age, nationality, and degree of kinship of course. Then show it to the class.
Your classmates will vote and elect the best one to send to the Dreamwork contest.

TASK 3 [Extention: both in class and at home]
Now it's your turn.

Groupwork instructions (4 people):

Using your mobile, make a video to show the TV news with a weather forecast.
Roles and responsabilities:
1 student will be the journalist: he/she must prepare the backgrounds (take some pictures from the Internet to project on the IWB; he/she will present the forecast, introduce his/her colleagues (open and close the service) and close the news greeting the audience.
1 student will be the weather meteorologist: he/she must prepare the forecast to show and present/describe;
2 students will be a city reporter (external service that describes a particular situation): they must choose their city and prepare a more detailed forecast of it.

Prepare the setting as it will be as real as possible.
When all the materials are ready, the group can rehearse and when they will be ready...
'ACTION TIME!'
