  2. King Arthur was a legendary British leader. We don't know if he was real or not. Legend says that he had 150 knights and his round table. This table is very famous and it was made so that none of his barons could say that they had president. The idea was Lancelot's. Sir Lancelot du Lac (Sir Lancelot of the Lake) was one of the knights of the round table. He was Arthur's greatest companion and best friend, but he had an adulterous affair with Queen Guinevere, Arthur's wife. This act causes a civil war that ends Arthur's kingdom. In this war Arthur dies. One of the earliest Arthurian authors was Geoffrey of Monmouth. Camelot, Arthur's legendary country, was first mentioned by Chretien de Troyes, the inventor of Lancelot. This happens in the 12th century, but the first detailed description of Camelot was in the 13th century in the French novels called the Vulgate and post-Vulgate Cycles. The round tables knights are sometimes called the Fellowship of the Round Table. It is comparable to the many great orders of chivalry that were in the minds of people in Europe in the Middle ages. The son of Lancelot, Galahad the Pure Knight was, as you can tell from his name, a great knight when it came to chivalry. In the first versions of the Holy Grail Stories, Perceval was the hero. The legend of king Arthur has inspired countless authors and inspires film directors too. It is a great story.

  3. King Arthur is a traditional English legend, linked to the Medieval English Engalnd. He is very famous because is told in many books, films, comics, cartoons, ecc. King Arthur is a noble and kind hero, and valiant knight. He is the son of Uther. After Uther's Death there was no king rulling all England. Merlin had placed a sword in a stone, saying that whoewer drew it out would be king. Arthur did so and Merlin had him crowned. He married Guinevere, whose father gave him the Round Table as a dowry. His most illustrious knight Lancelot, became enamoured of Guinevra, for that there was a war between Arthur and Lancelot. Same said he never died, but would one day return.
